In 2015 the United Nations Member States provided a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for all people on the planet. The plan was for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, along with 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries, organizations, and individuals in a global partnership. These strategies improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth. Nomenta strives towards an environment that champions gender equality and improved opportunities for women in the workplace and beyond. In 2020 it is more important than ever to have Inclusive and sustainable economic growth for increasing the safety and security, and the overall working environments to create decent work for all. Creating a safer environment is key to ensuring that individuals can work productively and without risk of future financial, physical, or emotional damage, although productivity has increased there is more to be done to turn that productivity in to opportunities for the youth and disadvantaged, and reducing the gender pay gap.

As a factory dealing with manufacturing Nomenta is very aware of the amount of material waste that can be generated. Nomenta works at every stage of development and production to improve resource efficiency reduce waste and apply mainstream sustainability practices. This also aligns with our design philosophy of Danish modern design, using minimal material in a smarter way to achieve the effects we need in a product, using techniques such as origami material choice and object placement to reduce materials as much as possible and in the progress saving cost. ,

Climate change and its effects are clearly felt worldwide. It’s time to take action to reduce the amount of green house gaseous pollutants; we all need to do our part. Climate change is occurring at rates much faster than anticipated this means where possible materials and processes that use green house gasses should be reduced as much as possible, to do this we need to have the awareness of what materials and processes contribute the most and work towards alternatives or reductions. The United Nations reported that direct economic losses from disasters were estimated at almost $3 trillion. Through reviewing how Nomenta manufactures our customer’s products and involving them in the conversation and choices, such as; the use of ocean plastics, cradle to grave product planning, Sustainable Packaging, reducing single use materials, and working with partners that share this vision we can spread awareness and reduce our carbon foot print at the same time,
